On 20 April 2013, a conference focusing on the political and humanitarian situation in Djibouti will be held in Paris.
The conference will be attended by Djiboutian politicians, representatives from civil society and representatives from globally renowned think tanks and NGOs, including Florent Geel of the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH).
Mr Abdourahman Boreh, USN Special Delegate for Global External Affairs said:
“I whole heartedly welcome and support the conference taking place this coming weekend in Paris. It is vital that the concerns of Djibouti people are recognised internationally. We will be following this conference with broader stakeholder engagement, interventions and consultations with the NGO community on a global level to ensure a brighter, stronger, fairer future for the people of Djibouti.”
